Federal Accountability
Federal Accountability Overview
In accordance with the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), NH has developed a Federal School Accountability plan to measure school performance and ensure the success of every student in the state. The indicators below are used in the School Accountability system as key metrics to measure school performance. Performance on each indicator ranges from Level 1 (lowest) to Level 4 (highest). Performance is assessed for the school as a whole as well as the identified subgroups within the school. For more information, please refer to the Consolidated State Plan.
Federal Accountability Determination
Each school receives a designation under the NH Consolidated ESSA Plan. Comprehensive Support and Improvement (CSI) Schools are identified based upon the overall lowest performance in the state or based upon low graduation rates. Targeted Support and Improvement (TSI) Schools and Additional Targeted Support (ATS) Schools are identified based upon low performance of specific student sub-groups. If a school has not been identified for one of these three categories, it is designated as In Good Standing for the academic year in which the determinations were made. For more information, please refer to the Consolidated State Plan above.
